I love this stuff. It’s amazing. Here’s a little story (my review will be the last part). Last summer was the first summer I noticed the beginning of sun damage.
I worshipped the sun from the ages of 13-25. Being from a cold climate in the winter, I often enjoyed months of tanning booths. Even though I tan very easily and darken fast, I also freckle. I am part Italian (the dark skin part) and Irish (the freckle part). During my second pregnancy, I developed something called a pregnancy mask. All around my cheekbones were dark patches and my freckles darkened everywhere as well. Since I am still nursing, the dark spots have returned this summer.

I thought about getting a chemical peel from the doctor, but decided to try different face products first. I have always been a huge fan of finding new skin products. Over the years, I have bought and tried so many anti-aging items. I clearly did not want to show my age or let sun damage get the best of me. I am 36 years old and have no wrinkles at all; however I do have the discoloration in my skin, thanks to my crazy hormones. I came upon this product by typing in ’skin lightener’ in the Amazon search.

I read the reviews and thought I would try this out. I am so glad I did. For years I stuck with Avon Anew products. A wonderful anti-aging line. I still use Anew Eye Lift (works wonders, still have no signs of crow’s feet). With this product, Radiance Overnight Cream, I noticed instant moisture to my face. Since I’m a stay at home mom, I apply this stuff all day long. I had instant results, as my face looked healthy and not dull. My discoloration started to fade and coloring all over has improved greatly. Also, since I don’t have any wrinkles on my face, I could not know if this was great for wrinkles.

However, I do get morning creases on my chest (you know.. when you sleep on your side and you wake up in the morning with a big crease between your chest). I apply this on my upper chest at night and the creases do not show up in the morning. My entire skin looks like it has taken a big glass of milk. Looks dewy and fresh. I love this stuff and will try out the rest of this line. On top of that, the company that sells this line is very nice and has top customer service.
My daughter and sons are in there Teens now and of course so is there over active ACNE. I have seen a very big difference in the time it takes for them to go away. Since, I started using the Acne Blue Red LED Light Therapy Bulb.
What would take a week or more to clear up is now clearing up in two or three days. I really feel that your getting your moneys worth here. And I do plan to buy many more down the line.

My wife had acne scars ever since I met her seven years ago.
They were the “potting” scars that looked like little holes. I’ve always wanted her skin to look good, because it had always looked scarred and made her look older than she was.
So I reviewed different methods of acne scar treatment to try to help her out. The laser was too expensive, it hurts, and it’s not 100% safe or effective so I ruled that out.
I read reviews about Mederma so I decided to give it a try. So far it’s been only 3 weeks of her using Mederma 6 times a day and her face looks awesome now!

It seriously looks like someone took an ereaser and ereased all of her scars! I’m so happy with the way her face looks now, she looks a lot younger too, with new, fresh skin! Needless to say, I’m very, very excited and much more attracted to her soft, smooth face!!! ( ; “Thank God for Mederma!!!” I would highly recommend this stuff to anyone over any other acne scar treatment! It’s inexpensive, safe, and most importantly, it really works!!!

My skin and I haven’t been on speaking terms for years. Horrible, brutal, stubborn, disfiguring cystic acne, so viciously tenacious that I had to go through…yes, count ‘em…not one, but TWO rounds of Accutane to rid my self of it, and I STILL get a nice cyst on my back or chest every once in a while. I had pockmarks on top of pockmarks…forehead, cheeks, temples, chin, bridge of my nose even. I hate my skin, I really do. I’ve gone through 2 deep dermabrasions (through a plastic surgeon, not the micro kind), plus about 30 DEEP chemical peels. My scarring improved a lot.

But professional options get expensive, and taking weeks at a time off while my skin healed wasn’t feasible. So I tried other methods to get rid of the rest of the scarring.

Over-the-counter products like Mederma didn’t help. Then as I aged, I got grayish, blotchy, dull, oily-here-wrinkly-there skin to add to my scars.

Lovely.

I’ve used salicylic acid, makes my skin red and papery. I’ve used Mederma, nothing.

Sorry for the big lead in, but I wanted to give y’all a good idea of what I was already “facing” (sorry for the bad pun).

I saw this Skin Laboratories 35% Glycolic Acid peel advertised, decided it certainly couldn’t hurt.

Bought it, received it very quickly, followed the easy-to-follow directions, love it. The lifeless, grayish appearance of my skin is gone. My smaller scars and pores are much diminished, after only 5 weeks of use, so much so that I can actually COUNT the number of scars I have left. (There were so many before, it was useless to count).

I will admit, I modified the instructions to fit my needs. I leave it on ten minutes at a time. Remember, I am a veteran of strong deep (EXPENSIVE) professional chemical peels, so my skin is quite tolerant to acid. I don’t get a visible see-your-skin-flake-off “peel” from this product either (something a few of you have complained about), but that’s so much the better! I don’t have to miss work for a week at a time to let my skin heal, like with the strong chemical peels. But believe me, the skin cells ARE sloughing off and being replaced. You know how that 10 pounds just snuck up on you after the holidays, and you didn’t notice? The skin rejuvenation you will get using this product is the same way: you don’t notice it until it’s done it’s work.

I use this product once a week. After next week (my 6th), I’ll wait a month before I go through the cycle again.

I’m also going to start using this product on my chest, which of course, is also scarred and weather-beaten.

Skin Laboratories, I Bow Before You. This is a superior product.

I was so surprised after a few weeks of using this product. My scars look years old, and I recently had surgery about 6 weeks ago!

The scars used to be raised and bright red and purple, but not anymore.

They are smooth and almost all the color has disappeared. It looks as if they have been healing for years.

The only complaint that I have it the adhesive wears off after 3-4 days and each strip is supposed to last a whole week. Other than that, it’s a great product.

A case of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) developing in the repair scar of a cleft lip is presented. OBJECTIVE: Primary BCCs arising in surgical scars are very rare and no known reported cases exist of a BCC developing in a surgically repairedcleft lip scar. METHODS: A 69-year-old white man presented with a 5 mm primary BCC on his upper lip at the site of his cleft lip repair scar. The diagnosis was made by a tangential biopsy that showed an ulcerated BCC. RESULTS: Review of the medicalliterature indicates that a scar may be an independent risk factor for developing BCC. CONCLUSION: BCC may rarely arise in a cleft lip repair scar.

To avoid having to seek acne scar removal treatment, where the process is either expensive or tedious but very often both, consult your dermatologist at an early stage before the acne has a chance to cause deep-seated damage to skin. Corrected blemished skin will never be able to match the smoothness and appearance of natural, healthy skin. While many of these treatments have reported success for many individuals, for others, it is likely that a combination of these various forms of treatment may require to be tested. Another thing is that you should not expect miracles to happen. It is unrealistic to expect a speedy recovery.

The old saying that time will heal is true because skin tissue regenerate over a period of time and only then will your acne scars fade away. This site strives to provide accurate and the best information on acne scar topics. However it is your responsibility to do your own research and consult relevant medical specialists before taking action. Sclerotherapy – this is the most common treatment for both spider veins and varicose veins… Whether you’re considering cosmetic surgery toimprove your appearance or reconstructive surgery to correct defects or improve function, you want a board-certified surgeon with the skill and training to help achieve your goals. Choosing to have plastic surgery is an important decision, and so is selecting a plastic surgeon.
Sharply defined craters and ice pick scars may be revised by performing a small excision of the scar with plastic surgery closure. Fillers, such as Restylane , Juverdern or Radiesse are also used to fill in the indentation. Often more than one treatment is needed. The Fraxel re:pair is the most effective treatment for this situation. When a scar causes an indentation or crater, then stimulation of new collagen to build up the indentation is needed. Medications can be used that turn off the cells that make scar tissue. Topical bleaching creams are used in conjunction with the laser.

To eliminate the undesired pigment in the scar, the Alexandrite laser is used to target the brown pigment and peel it away. This is most common in people who have naturally dark or olive toned skin. Some scars become dark brown as they heal. A series of treatments with the V-Beam Perfecta will result in gradual elimination of redness. When a scar is red, treating it to remove the network of capillaries that cause the redness will result in a less visible scar.

Some surgical scars are fine lines and virtually invisible initially, but stretch out with time to become thinned out, flat or wide that look much like stretch marks that develop from rapid growth. Sometimes pressure dressings or topical medications may play a role as well in the scar treatment. Painful or itching scars will usually respond to intra-lesional injections of medications such as 5-fluorouracil or lasers that interact with capillaries such as the V-Beam Perfecta. These scars become very red, swollen, tender and may even worsen with time instead of healing.

There are people that have a hereditary or family tendency to heal poorly and develop what is called a hypertrophic scar or keloid. Some areas of the body are just prone to poor healing and produce problematic scars with greater frequency. Scars may be problematic either because they are unsightly or because they cause symptoms of pain or discomfort. Bellamkonda said many other approaches will be needed to repair spinal cord injuries in humans, including controlling inflammation, which can cause additional injury, stimulating nerve fiber growth and getting nerves to reconnect and communicate with the brain. Although the chABC enzyme used by the team came from bacteria, Bellamkonda said Acorda Therapeutics is working on a human version.

Best scar treatment：Suggested that uses the laser and topical remedy treatment, the concrete proposal arrives at the local regular hospital to receive a medical examination, and removes the scar, if my non-scar physique, will then see the tangible effect generally!
